How We Support People

Life Mental Health provides evidence-based therapy and practical mental health support for people with complex emotional and psychosocial needs. Our services are designed to work together, so clients receive consistent, coordinated care.

Person in a thoughtful, engaged state — reflecting the work of DBT therapy

Our Core Focus: DBT

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) sits at the heart of what we do.

We're known across the Sunshine Coast for delivering structured, high-quality DBT with clinical integrity.

DBT services include:

Person sitting calmly and reflectively

Individual Counselling & Therapy

Not everyone needs a full DBT program. We offer individual therapy for people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and emotional overwhelm. These sessions can be short or longer-term, depending on your needs.

NDIS & Psychosocial Disability Supports

We support NDIS participants with psychosocial disability to build skills, confidence and independence. Our approach blends therapeutic insight with practical, real-world support.

Mental Health & Disability Support (DBT-informed)

Practical day-to-day support informed by mental health understanding and DBT principles.

Support Coordination

Helping participants understand their plans and connect with suitable providers.

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching

Recovery-oriented support focused on capacity, confidence and sustainable progress.

In-home & Community Support

Support that extends therapeutic progress into routines, relationships and community life.

Activities & Supported Holidays

Structured activities and supported experiences that build participation and confidence.

Support Coordination

Our support coordinators help participants make sense of their plans and connect with the right providers.

We focus on clarity, follow-through and reducing stress for participants and families.

Support coordination is available as a standalone service or alongside therapy and support work.

Professional Supervision

We provide supervision for clinicians seeking to strengthen their DBT or therapeutic practice.

Supervision is collaborative, reflective and grounded in evidence-based care.

This service is suitable for psychologists, counsellors, social workers and support professionals.

Our team works together so therapy, support work and coordination stay aligned.

This integrated model is especially valuable for:

  • NDIS participants
  • Clients transitioning between levels of care
  • Referrers wanting reliable, coordinated outcomes
